Watch: Poor clock management costs Jaguars points at the half vs. Ravens

In a first half where nothing went right against the Baltimore Ravens, the Jacksonville Jaguars ended it with a doozy. Still searching for their first points of the game, poor clock management in the waning moments of the second quarter ensured they went into the break with a goose egg.

With 30 seconds remaining before halftime, QB Trevor Lawrence connected with WR Zay Jones for a 36-yard gain down to the Baltimore five-yard line. With no timeouts, the Jags then decided not to spike the football and instead ran a play with 11 ticks on the clock. Lawrence's pass over the middle to WR Parker Washington on first down came up short of the goal line, the half expired and Jacksonville walked away with nothing.

The messy end to the opening half was only one of several failed attempts to score by the Jaguars. In the first two quarters alone, Jacksonville kicker Brandon McManus missed field goals from 50 and 55 yards, while Lawrence fumbled, turning the ball over in the red zone to deny the team points.

Entering the game at 8-5, the Jags can ill-afford a loss or they'll find themselves in a three-way tie with the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans for the lead in the AFC South.
