Manager compares his on loan Chelsea player to Wilfred Ndidi
IPA

One current Chelsea player has received a nice compliment from his loan manager.

Chelsea have a host of players out on loan this season as they always do, in order for players to get development and experience playing in senior football in the hope that they can eventually make it as a Chelsea player or if not, get sold for a decent profit – not all of them can make it.

Cesare Casadei is one of the current players out on loan gaining some vital experience in senior football after he did feature for Mauricio Pochettino in pre-season.

Casadei showed a lot of promise but also that he needed this year of development out on loan.

He dropped a division and is playing with Leicester City in the Championship, and Casadei is starting to show some really good form.

So much so that his manager, Enzo Maresca, has compared him with Wilfred Ndidi, which is certainly a compliment.

As cited by Blue Footy, Maresca said: “Since Cesare arrived, I always said the same, he’s always in the box. When we are attacking, he always arrives in the box. So at the end it’s very good for us. At the same time, he’s not the perfect pocket player for us. More or less, he’s like Wilf [Ndidi]. Cesare is working hard.”
