Tottenham Hotspur are interested in acquiring the services of West Ham United target Ivan Toney.

The North London club are expected to sign a top-quality striker in the summer to solve their goal-scoring problems.

While Son Heung-min and Richarlison have done a decent job playing up top, Ange Postecoglou feels the need to sign a world-class striker to help his team take the next step and according to a report from Football Transfers, they are interested in signing Brentford ace Ivan Toney.

Toney made his return to football in January after serving a lengthy ban for breaching betting regulations. While the English international hasn’t been in the best of form since his return, there is still no shortage of interest in him.

The 28-year-old striker wants to join a bigger club in the summer and with his contract running out in 2025, Brentford will most likely sanction his departure if they receive a decent offer. They won’t risk losing out on him for free in 12 months.

The North London club want to sign Toney to add more firepower to their attack. The departure of Harry Kane last summer was a major blow to the club. While they decided against signing a replacement for their record goal-scorer last time out, Spurs are looking at the Bees forward as someone who can help their cause and they are ready to offer around £50 million.

The Hammers could also offer a substantial fee for the signature of the 28-year-old. With Michail Antonio’s contract running out, they are looking at Toney as a potential replacement. Even if the 34-year-old ends up staying for another year, West Ham need more firepower in attack and they feel the Brentford striker is an ideal fit for the club.
